And we can hope for a future with more Democrats in office--so the laws can be moderated. (Not as a result of the bill--as a result of more Americans deciding that voting Republican is idiotic.)

If the bill fails, the undocumented workers will remain fearful of agitating for better treatment. And those who now weep for The American Worker can return to bitching about "Big Labor."

(Besides: Kay Bailey Hutchison is agin' it!)
