Counterpoints: 25 Years of the New Criterion on Culture & the Arts

Author: Roger Kimball, Hilton Kramer

Sunday, June 24, at 6:00 AM

Twenty-five years after the founding of the New Criterion, the editors of the conservative journal of literary, artistic and cultural criticism published a collection of writings from the magazine. Editor Roger Kimball moderates a panel discussion in New York City with four of the book's contributors: Robert Bork, Anthony Daniels, Eric Ormsby and Mark Steyn.

Roger Kimball edits the New York-based literary magazine The New Criterion. He is a frequent contributor to conservative publications. Robert Bork was nominated to the Supreme Court by Ronald Reagan in 1987, but the Senate rejected his nomination. He is currently a professor at the Ave Maria School of Law in Michigan and previously served as U.S. solicitor general and on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit. Anthony Daniels is a columnist for the London Spectator. He is also is a psychiatrist specializing in addiction and formerly practiced medicine in a British prison. Eric Ormsby is a poet and literary columnist for the New York Sun. Mark Steyn is a syndicated columnist and also writes for the Atlantic Monthly and National Review. He is from Canada.
