I read in another of your posts that you were in this country for 18 months.

I too have lived overseas and been the "foreigner" in someone elses' country having spent 7 years in Europe and 3 months in South Korea - that makes me a lot smarter on those countries than a lot of my fellow Americans - it doesn't make me an expert on their internal politics however.

I don't claim to have political expertise merely by living here - I've spent thousands of hours working on campaigns since 2003 and have even consulted on them on voter targetting here in Central Florida for campaigns so I've got the bona fides in this.

I can only say with respect to your 7 year relationship that I've never had one that lasted a fraction that long - so as bad as you may feel about it, you take comfort in doing far better than me in the love department - women by and large think of me as part of the furniture in any given room so it could be worse.
