If they're just incredibly stupid, education might work.

If they're just selfish jackasses who voted for him because they hate paying their fair share of taxes or they think Merca oughta go kick some ass, there's not much point in trying to convert. The minute the danger to their pocketbook is over, they'll go right back to voting for corrupt Republicans.

Maybe I just want to drive home the fact that this wasn't a silly argument over who won the World Series 26 years ago--there were real life-and-death issues at stake. These people treated it like a junior high class president election.
