At the same time her son, while studying for law school, took day labor jobs at the day labor job center and was subjected to all the racist drive by comments that you can imagine.
I was in line at a supermarket the other day and I saw a man there and I saw by his face that he could have been a Andean from South America. Then I thought he had relatives here in America who stayed here like my friend Marsha and her family who put down roots in the New Mexico and Arizona Pueblo tribes.
BTW Richie, because he is now a lawyer, did not take well to being called those names. Marsha said to his Dad, "Dave you have to watch your mouth around the kids..."
The point is they have the face of the American continent. I don't. I have the face of Ireland... so much that British troops once were tempted to draw down on me. And deservedly so. They are Americans.
