27. Before his time? Did you miss the 1970s?
Kucinich would have been considered "mainstream" years ago, but the far right has pushed the center so far to the right that most Americans have no idea what "centrist" positions really are. We need to stop catering to the bullies on the other side. Take back the word "liberal", hit back when they try to smear our candidates, and put them on the defensive by telling the truth about their fascist corporate crony leaders. As long as we behave as if we are ashamed of our positions by choosing right wing candidates to represent us, the "undereducated" won't think that our ideas are worth listening to. I've asked fairly apolitical people why they vote for repugs, and they say "because they stand for something". They don't know what we stand for because most of our candidates don't know either; they are trying to court the right while taking the left entirely for granted. Enough already! Take a clear position and fight for it, otherwise we'll just have more of the same for decades to come.
