46. If ever we needed a leader whose mindframe and ideas of government
Edited on Fri Aug-13-10 11:03 AM by ooglymoogly
come from the one form of government, proven over and over, successful above all others;

One who realizes deeply the utter fail and the misery caused, every time, repeated ad infinitum; The now well understood Republican and corporatist scam of putting everyone else in misery for their own obscene greed and gluttony, for whom no crime is too outrageous to get what they want; Using theft in any form to secure their useless place at the hog trough created, by themselves, for themselves; Turning the treasury into their own piggy bank; Inevitably bringing on the next depression or recession, and even more inevitably, bringing this country to its knees.

A place they petulantly demand as their god given right to be parasites, wheedling their way into positions of power, to bully and blackmail; To create boom and bust, to buy up everything and any competitors of that everything.

A leader who understands capitalism and how to control it and keep it honest; How to regulate it and use it for the good of the country; Who understand that a civilized people cannot abandon the helpless or how to keep them from becoming helpless;

Who understands socialism; That, properly used and also carefully regulated and yes, kept scrupulously honest, becomes just as important a cog in the wheels of government as does a carefully regulated capitalism.

Who understands that a social program like Social Security is a piece of pure genius not lightly fooled with, an all win solution to one of the greatest problems facing any civilized society, its elderly, its ill and dying, a phase that is all our destinies.

A leader not afraid of massive direct government projects like WPA to bring an economy back and soften the misery of a depression; That history has again proven over and over is brought on by the sham of selfish pug theft.

Who understands what; "All people are created equal" and the constitution really mean; A leader who understands the Constitution is the tool most vital to good government and surviving success and who will work toward implementing those liberal and giant concepts of common sense decency in all matters at hand; Simply put; Those things he is sworn to protect;

That, as has been proven, many times, is the very key to a fantastically successful civilization to live in prosperity in perpetuity.

How to create and use government run insurance programs like SS, to insure the health and happiness of its people, paying for itself in the case of SS as it progresses or in the worst case generously paid for by all of us; Without parasites sucking the vitality from any and all success.

How to use government for the purpose it is intended; Who's main task is protecting and taking good care of its people and their pursuit of happiness and whose government, by irrefutable law, it is, its community;

Who understands that wars are only to be fought when all other avenues and hopes for peaceful coexistence have failed, and then fought, all guns blazing to win in the shortest time possible.

Who understands the rich can take care of themselves and needs no help, no absurd welfare for the rich, other than a level playing field and the vast network of justice, fire and police et al.

We need an FDR;

I believe Alan Grayson is growing into those magnificent boots that Franklin Delano Roosevelt proudly and resolutely, walked the walk, the greatest walk in a century and more.
