Or alternately, the situation that occurred at my aunts house just a few days ago. Their neighbors adult son and wife were pulled over right in front of their house. Short version, he had been involved in a road rage incident wherein he was stabbed, but then the person doing the stabbing tried to cover his own rear by calling the cops and claiming he had been shooting at them. So, the cops, justifiably, showed up moments later in full force. 12 cars, guns drawn, etc. So far, a little overkill, but still within reasonable situation. My aunt is the neighborhood watch snoop. So when anything happens, she's gotta look. My uncle just happened to be out on their front porch, well back from the street where things were occurring, not doing or saying anything. The cops told them they had to go inside.

Reasonable to take precautions in a dangerous job. Asking someone to step back and leave a safe space while giving a ticket. Showing up with overwhelming force for something reported to be very dangerous. Totally unreasonable to demand that no one ever watch or record them. Scrutiny and constant double checking, video, witnesses, and all manner of safeguards should be in place when dealing with the level of power and authority our police hold.
