This is from Neil's official YouTube channel.

I'm old enough to remember Kent State and the reaction. I heard so many comments from the 'elders' in my home town, to the effect that these 4 kids should have been killed! There was an editorial in the Tulsa World, our fucking, no good Right Wing newspaper pointing out that the kid in the famous photo - the girl kneeling over the body of a slain student and screaming - was really a teenage runaway. For the editorial writer that apparently made her pain meaningless.

It was just another step in convincing me that "Little Tommy doesn't live here anymore!" I'm still distancing myself, every time I hear one of my cousin's right wing rants.

The really sad thing is, that my generation really hasn't kept its promises to change the world. Many of us tried; some are still trying; but, things have, by and large, really gotten worse.
