because she ...

(a) said she was happy to live in a country where people can "choose" gay marriage. That's simply wrong. A few states allow gay marriage, but the vast majority do not. So she was wrong.

then (b) she called marriage between a man and a woman "opposite marriage". That was hilarious .... but clearly, in a panic, she invented a total new term.

and finally (c) she then went on to REVERSE her prior statement in from (a) above ... she started by saying that she's glad to live in a country where you have the choice, but then later says she doesn't want to allow gay marriage.

So ultimately, she contradicted herself.

The person who was happiest about all this, of course, was the former Miss South Carolina.
