When Warren Christopher (John Hurt), trying to placate an upset Ron Klain (Kevin Spacey) says "Gore is still young. He can run again." This whole incident proved so draining on his family and himself that he never sought public office again. We had a genuinely good person there, and he got thrown away like a used kleenex.
God damn, that movie was tough to watch. I didn't want to spend the next couple of days upset, and here I am.
