awakened the public were quickly marched off the stage by those who are willing to keep the MIIC going . . .

I think the people are very concerned --- and have tried to move this Democratic Congress to end the war --

In fact, that's what the record shows of Pelosi speaking immediately after the 2006 win . . .
saying, "the people sent us here to stop this war!"

Then what happended --- ???

I have to agree that it isn't an unconcerned public --- it's Democratic leadership and DLC leadership which doesn't want to confront or upset the MIIC.

We also have to appreciate that we have had a long history now of political violence in America --
and I have to include 9/11 and the follow up Anthrax attacks in that --- so there is a bit more
to be considered. We have whistleblowers everywhere --- and yet on and on goes the warmongering
and the war.

You might look at it this way:-- we have criminals in control of our government.
