7. All of MSM adheres to the premise
that the "surge" has been successful. They do not ask the most basic questions like:

1) Has it led to any of the political improvements that Bush/Petreus promised?

2) If Baghdad is safer (which is highly debatable), does this simply mean that the problem has moved to other areas of the country?

3) How much of the "success" is simply a case that there isn't any more ethnic cleansing left to do? In other words, would it be any different without the "surge"?
