It worked for me. I quit for two years and probably would've never smoked again except my wife started up again after six months and I eventually broke down in sheer self-defense. She didn't smoke in the house, but anywhere we went in the car she smoked, she constantly smelled of cigarette smoke, and I eventually just couldn't take it anymore.

But that zyban got me through the initial phases a LOT easier than I'd ever imagined it could be. I'll be doing it again here soon.
