4. No excuse for this
When I was in my twenties, I remember giving a friend a hard time for not using her signal. She said she does use it, but usually only for "big" direction changes. Meanwhile, I simply never saw her signal for much of anything. My advice to her was the same I've given my own kids, and I practice, too...signal for everything, any change of direction. It may seem like a waste of time, but do it if for no other reason than to make it a HABIT so you won't forget to signal at that one crucial time when a tractor-trailer is about to merge into your lane!
