I'm not sure I understand the blanket thing. If you look at a flat panel on which there appear 5 pointed stars on both sides, the stars are "right-side up" regardless of whether you're looking at the right or left side. I'm picturing the flag as my example here. It's only if you start by turning the flag stripes down that the stars will be inverted from left to right. So that theory essentially says the flag is meant to be flown stripes down, and I'd be willing to bet that's just not correct. If anything, it's meant to be flown with stripes horizontal, in which case the stars are "right side up" no matter whether you look at them from the left of right side.

By the way, if the stars are leaning to the right, aren't they going to look the same leaning to the left? What a buncha maroons! Next time I run into a puke, I'll point out the "left leaning" stars of his party mascot, see if I can't persude him that the GOP is in the pocket of the Dems and tell him to vote for the Constitution party.
