don't understand that when you start using such abhorrent practices, you are losing whatever principles you claim you are fighting for.
I remember after Abu Graihb was first exposed, Lieberman used that idiotic RW comment "the terrorists never apologized for 9/11".
Well no shit! They're terrorists for God's sake. So that's where we should set our bar?
We as a nation are supposedly fighting for 'freedom' and 'democracy' abroad. We are supposedly a 'civilized' nation. These are not civilized practices and I'd rather not Set our standards as that of Islamic terrorists.
But then again, the RWers have no such principles of decency, so they really have nothing to lose after all. They have more in common with thee Islamic fundy fanatics than they would care to admit.
