5. Whoever did it, I think it backfired....
If the WH leaked it to try to make it sound like they had nothing to hide, it failed.

If Brown leaked it as a sympathy ploy, it failed.

Mostly what it does is confirm extortion tactics are common in the GOP and that the claims of "executive privelege" arre just used as a cheap cover-up....which many people already suspected.
