Are there butt heads out there? Yeah. There are now and there always will be. What I hang onto is the number of people who ARE offended by this all and the number of people who ARE either working to change stuff or at least aware of how bad it is. That number grows daily, I think.

Did you ever think that it would be mainstream media making comments about the asswipe in the WhiteHouse and how nuts he is? Did you ever expect that it would get to the point that the chimp would be the butt of negative comment after comment from even the conservative pundits? It has happened and continues to happen--and we discuss it on here every day in some way.

Americans as a whole can be self centered and suffer with tunnel vision--I don't think anyone can ever deny that. I also think that as a nation we have tremendous capacity for moral outrage--and we will act on that when it hits critical mass. I have not completely abandoned all hope yet.

No doubt, we are seeing a low point right now--but i think it is rather like a pendulum. It will start to swing back in the right direction, if it hasn't already.
