204. In the fifties, these people would have been laughed out of town.
If there was anything true about the 50s it was that science was honored and exaulted - US science and technology had put us at the pinnacle of world power. It was at the end of the 50s that Life Magazine asked "Is God Dead?" because of the prevelance of rationalism over the previous two decades.

The 50s were screwed up in a lot of ways, but not by these types.
