I usually enjoy political cartoons; they can often make a point more powerfully than words ever could. In the first cartoon, mocking Bush I's expression of caring for his son is.....just harsh. I wouldn't want anyone to mock me for doing the same thing. It exposed him as being somewhat human, to me. And if you do mock that, it deters it from happening; not that everyone should cry at such moments, but it reinforces the old notion that men should not show emotion. As far as Jeb's losing the election, to you or I, it seems trivial; but we don't know what happened behind the scenes or in the aftermath that might have been poignant. I know after a failure of a company I was involved in, I fell into a depression. Its easy for people to say- "Well, what's the big deal? You can start another one." or "You tried to make it rich and failed- poor you". But the fallout from that experience was very real, but I can see how some people wouldn't sympathize with it.
