17. Poor people have always had to fight against a stacked system.
The list of defeats for the poor is long, painfully long. Such is the power of state oppression and the corrupt oligarchs who run the machinery of the state.

The only consolation is that poor people always rise up again no matter how many times they've been beaten down or smashed down. I hope Gov. Luis will spend the rest of his days living in fear of the people he was supposed to represent and protect. Instead, he beat them down and exploited them.
