This has been headline news in Britain for weeks now. The underlying story of the military brass viewing the war as hamstrung because short term political ends take priority over military needs has been bubbling under for YEARS.

In a nutshell: the wrong war, fought the wrong way, for the wrong reasons.

To add insult to injury, UK forces have endured redundancies, privatised support services (lower quality but more profitable for private industry), lower pay than UN/NATO counterparts and lousy equipment.
