18. I Smell Third Party
I don't want to get too far ahead here...Nov. 7th comes first. No matter what I expect to see some big fights up ahead for the Repugnicans. The big tent has ripped to shreads and the various factions are sniping at each other for the failures of the last 6 years. Be it the defecit, illegal immigration, abortion or any of their "major" issues, there's someone on their side who is pissed how this regime has sold out their principals...and blaming the others for why their pet issues still remain unresolved. Of course, most don't realize that there was no interest in the Repugnicans to solve problems...if they dare do that they lose a wedge issue and votes...sooner or later this burning of the candle on both ends would come back to bite and it looks like that day is about to arrive.

Maybe these people are waking up, but I doubt it...that requires a strength of character that most never had and the ability to think for oneself that has been constantly discouraged by the church and the Repugnican party. While many may express dismay, when they're told what to do, they do. My hopes is enough just stay home in November and look at their options afterwards.

Looking at the GOOP choices for 2008, the fundies best hope, at this point, is McCain, that many don't trust...beyond that who is there? The supply-siders sure won't tolerate another ideologue and the neo-cons won't tolerate the others. I's the neo-cons like Tucker who are already floating the meme that the failures of the Repugnicans is because of the fundies.

Stay tuned...especially if the Repugnicans lose the House and/or Senate...these next two years could be highly entertaining.
