14. 5,000 people died last month
And the month before that. And the month before that right back to 9/11 and further.

Automobile accidents kill more Americans every month than the worst terrorist attack in history did. And unlike 9/11 it was not a one-time event, but recurs monthly.

Where is the outrage? Where is the "war on automobile accidents"?

We could save thousands of lives by implementing changes to our health care system and our regulation of automobiles. But instead we are frightened into pouring billions into fighting a never ending war against an ideology.
