in January 2007 as Non-Executive Chairman. http://biz.yahoo.com/ap/060628/disney_chairman.html?.v=...

Robert Iger is Disney's President and CEO. http://corporate.disney.go.com/corporate/bios/robert_ig...

And the film has been in the works at ABC for well over a year, probably more like at least two years. It began filming on July 7, 2005 which means preproduction work, like getting a script, director, casting, etc. started well before then. http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,163964,00.html
