discourse... enjoy give and take of a real discussion... but gradually I came to enjoy what he did... because he does it so well. Artfully, even. Now, if his was the only approach that got on the air then I'd have a problem, but it isn't. It really isn't. There are any number of liberal/left commentators each with a different approach.

There really is no one approach that reaches all people. In fact, I daresay, that his louder more belligerant approach might very well appeal to some of those right wingers who tend to see things more in black & white, right & wrong. You know, those anti intellectual types who are always criticizing us for being girly, fence straddlers,"weak," etc.

I came to think it was kind of refreshing to see someone from "our" side beating them at their own game-- for once!
