Hatch said that terrorism was a phoney threat and accused Clinton of fearmongering*. That is why you didn't see Hatch for a good 4 months or so after 9/11. He was completely out of sight

*notice the difference between a foreign government falling into and breaking up the Bojinka operation in 1995 and how W&Co. have treated (forced we know now) the Brits to arrest the would be alleged liquid bombers. Fear monger this you crusty old ... I'm stopping there :grr:
