5 years later, people don't really care about 9-11 it seems.

That's the impression I get, that its lost all it's gravity and horror and shock value and political value, and has just faded away like Pearl Harbor. Something so distant and ugly that no one wants to even think about it, or delve into it further.

No one seems to give a damn about finding the supposed perpetrator, dead or alive, and no one seems to be living in constant fear anymore.

Supposedly 1/3 of Americans polled think something's fishy about it, but that doesn't seem to have manifested itself in any noticable way, they suspect the whole truth was not told or revealed, yet they go about their daily chores and pay their taxes.

I know my statement is a broad generalization, but let's face it, 5 years later and we seem to be back where we were before 2001, brain dead and distracted, and ripe for the taking.
