72. Just about every international announcer is blaming it on the ref
Jorge Larrionda was suspended from officiating in the '02 World Cup for "irregularities." Something tells me Larrionda just ref'd his last '06 World Cup match.

Even the Italian announcer for ESPN says that ref was atrocious.

I don't think we played dirty at all... just aggressive football. I'm pleased with the draw but would've loved a win... but what I'm pissed about is we lost two of our best players for the match against Ghana.
