19. I do volunteer.
I am also working on getting my daughter some sort of volunteer position at the local pantry. We've talked about it and we know that a five year old can't do much but she can put cans on a lower shelf.

And we do need more drives. DU'ers (and lurking Freepers) need to get their offices together for a simple drive sometime this summer, if only to collect from family and friends. Have your kids Little League team do a drive-for one game they can set out donation boxes. Same thing w/ Vacation Bible School, swim league, etc.

We all need to do what we can. Donations rapidly drop off in the spring and summer and do not start back up until the fall, yet people need the food more than ever.
