I was in Ireland for the first time one year ago and I long to go back. My grandparents on both sides came from there. I got to visit Achill Island where Grandfather was born and had a peak, in fact quite mystical experience. How many Irish Americans these days are wanting to go back to the old country permanently, do you think? Could we qualify as refugees from this mess of a country that our ancestors originally sought refuge in?
I'm sure not but wouldn't it be great? Interesting how the above words, written so long ago, are still so applicable.
