Sorry this New Yorker does NOT want the '08 convention to be held in NYC. First it just adds to the symbolism - wrong as it is - that the party is just an east coast/west coast party. That's also why any city in California is a bad idea. Second I for one do not want to have to put up with the security crap we had to deal with when the rethugs were here last year. Third symbolism being important I do believe that a city in the "heartland" like St Louis or Denver or a city in Ohio is a much better choice.
