4. Maybe some of you saw the 20/20 interview with Gabrielle Giffords and her husband.
It was the first interview since the Congresswoman was shot at an event in Arizona.

Her recovery has been deemed "a miracle" by her doctors. The interview revealed so much love and
faith within their whole family that embraced and carried them through this unthinkable test.
There was one beautifully poignant statement by Gabby's mother when she replied to a question about
her own experiences on the day of her daughter's shooting.
She said as she heard the news and began rushing to get to her daughter from Texas, fear and panic
began to grip her. Then quite out of the blue she 'heard' a voice say, "Be still and know that I
am God", and almost immediately she began to relax into an inner peace, knowing that she and Gabby
were in God's hands.

So powerful..that inner peace that comes with surrender and acceptance... a feeling of
being in but not of the world as we connect with that infinite source of love in the universe.
The world may seem in chaos, the ground beneath us may be shifting, and yet we can be fully present
in abiding peace and love. In fact, as Tolle says, we must find that inner, still place of
connection.
