30. At the aquarium
The shot was taken at the Vancouver Aquarium in Stanley Park (Vancouver, BC, Canada). There's a large pool with a whole mess of critters and, like most aquariums, it had a viewing area below water level. I noticed the light shining down and the turtle swimming around. I had to wait for a while for the before I had access to the right spot (waiting for some kids to move). I positioned myself at the edge of one of the windows and put the camera right up to the glass. Then I waited and shot. Waited and shot again. It took numerous shots and maybe half an hour to get enough shots that I figured there would be a decent one in the bunch.
