my 15 year old telescope had a lot of problems aligning etc and wasnt suitable for use. When I was in costco I found one for just $199 and figures why not try it out. Took it home and hooked it up to a webcam designed for telescope use. Its the first time Ive ever tried this combo.
after using the webcam I had to spend alot of time processing it. Basically you have to stack a bunch of images and to a lot of specialized post processing which Im just guessing at how to do it. anyway heres the first shot  Im certainly not happy with it and I have a steep learning curve ahead of me so i guess its ok for a first effort. |
