2. I'm here
Edited on Sat Mar-17-07 05:57 PM by RagingInMiami
Thanks for asking. There's no inappropriateness about your question. This is probably the best place to find me on DU.

I've been really busy lately dealing with this legal situation. My initial arraignment got postponed to an unspecified date.

I wish I could tell you everything that is going on because there is a lot working in my favor but this a pending legal case and I have no doubt that investigators from the police department and state attorney's are lurking on DU, waiting for me to post something that they could use against me.

After all, it was from DU that news of the incident spread through the blogosphere, making its way to Homeland Security before winding up in Miami Police Internal Affairs. It was actually the thread I posted here in the Photo group, not the better-written one I later posted in GD, that took the blogosphere by storm those few days.

If you look at the number of "views" on the thread in the photo group, you will see that it received more than 61,000 hits, an astronomical number for any forum on DU(if not the largest ever on DU in short amount of time).

So here's to that Photo Group DUer who first posted that thread on Digg.com, which was when the world was suddenly informed that a Miami photojournalist known only as RaginginMiami was arrested for photographing police against their wishes.

:toast: :toast:

Here is the article I was working on when I got arrested. Those two cops in the picture are two of the five that arrested me. I noticed they didn't treat that guy as bad as they treated me.

Here is an article I wrote a couple of days ago about "Journalism and Democracy" where I couldn't help but lead off by mentioning my arrest.
