My Mom comes from Pittsfield, MA originally!! This site is so coincidental, what with Fedup around the corner, Island Blue down the highway, and now my Conn. connection has a Pittsfield one, too!!

Island Blue -- glad you got the card! On "y'all", to me it's just the Southerners having enough sense to install an informal plural "you" into the English language. I learned German a few years back, and I was just so bad using the plural informal you (ihr) since there's no equivalent in English. But with "y'all" we have it! And I bet there's some very interesting historical reason (from what I understand Southern English is in fact a form of Olde English) for why this is so.

Keep that card coming, and here's hoping our rude postal workers don't make any mistakes . . .

(by the way, aloof is how I would describe them, a word I would never use to describe our esteemed Senator)
