18. Yeah, I guess I'm more moderate
Although I hate saying that... I'm definitely NOT moderate compared to anyone I know, but there are times I feel positively conservative at DU *shudder*. I just think all the "blame America for all the world's problems" rhetoric really, really pisses a lot of people off and does more to hurt the "liberal" cause than to help it. While I diagree with the actions of the government in many cases (for example, nearly everything Bush has done) saying that "America" is corrupt or evil is just batshit stupid. People hear that and think, "why on earth would I support anyone who basically has stated that they hate this country?" And they do have a valid point, which is why we need to get the Chomskyites and anti-American bunch out of any sort of spotlight in favor of liberal advocates who have a more positive and hopeful tone, and who actually care about this country enough to want to make it a better place.

I mean, I don't have a problem per se with veganism and some other "radical" liberal ideas, but they're never going to be viable political options. And Noam Chomsky does piss me off.
