16. Organic does not mean heirloom
To be organic means that the plants were grown without chemicals and the seed is not treated with chemicals. I don't think that any company dealing in organic seed would go to the trouble of producing GM organically grown seed since many GM seeds are engineered to be used with chemicals like RoundUp.
