Reply #23: America's rich natural resources belong to America

PC sees a world in the future (admittedly not necessarily near future, as there are only so many changes a people can tolerate in a lifetime) where America's rich natural resources will belong to the people. Proceeds will indeed go to the care of the elderly, health care, education, etc.

PC looks into the future and can see people looking back at what is our present, and their past. They cannot believe that a vastly wealthy few were able to take the country's riches for their own use. While the citizenry were without basics, such as health care, education, clean air, food, water, safe bridges and roads. They shake their heads at this. They know that the basis of an advanced democratic society is a healthy, educated, safe people.

PC sees a future with both private and government run businesses.
Anything to do with the basic services of a civilization, and the health and welfare of the people, or national security will either be govt run or under strict control. Other enterprises will be privately owned with less oversight. There will always tend to be some tension between labor and management, but strides will be made in that area.
