I remember your post and I'm glad you can talk to your dad a lot. Maybe he can help you with your spiritual journies and your gifts and figure out your strengths etc. I would just suggest try talking to him more. Is he around just because he wants to be or something else? My grandfather is around my grandmother since they're mates and he wanted to stay around. I have seen him in dreams and I see him whenever I go and visit my grandmother. He used to pop in but hasn't in a while. My Mom is like yours. She believes in the afterlife too and spirits and has had some things happen to her as well.
