If you want to try the recovery console again do as before including the selection of C:\WINNT as the Windows installation directory by typing 1.
At the command prompt, change to the C:\Winnt\System32\Drivers folder.
To do this, type "cd system32\drivers" and then press ENTER.
At the command prompt, type "dir" and then press ENTER.
Now rename the following files if they exist so that they have an .old file name extension: Aspi32.sys Cdr4vsd.sys Cdudf.sys Cdrpwd.sys
For example, to rename the Aspi32.sys file to Aspi32.old, type "ren aspi32.sys aspi32.old" and then press ENTER.
Type exit.
Reboot.
Drive to Costco and buy your new computer!
