You grate up 5 pounds of potatoes and to it add grated onion, some fried bacon broken into bits, eggs and evaporated milk & black pepper to taste. Pour it all into a roasting pan or baking dish and bake until done.

It's something more like a potato pancake flavor. But you cut slices. It can be heated in the fry pan the next day to get the outsides a little crispy.

I often use egg substitute and not so much bacon and also use lowfat evap. milk.
