9. Every doorway is actually a portal to a different dimension.
The human mind can only take so much inter-dimensional travel without losing specific information usually associated with certain short-term memory functions; to wit, usually the last thing the person was thinking about is automatically forgotten as one transverses the dimensional portal.


It has nothing to do with getting older and more absent-minded.

That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
