11. anti-gay NYT ad
It seems I can't start a thread because I don't have enough posts. Someone please take this and run with it. It's enough to make your blood boil. Thanks.

BLADE BLOG
That anti-gay NY Times ad

Towleroad has an image (http://www.towleroad.com/2008/12/becket-fund-lau.html) of the anti-gay Becket Fund for Religious Liberty ad that ran in the New York Times today. The ad victimizes the Mormon Church, saying the "violence and intimidation" by gay activists in the aftermath of Proposition 8 must stop.

The ad directs readers to a website, NoMobVeto.org, where users can ad their name to the petition. The organization seeks to "defend any house of worship from violence ... for any reason."

Blogger Joe.My.God. (http://joemygod.blogspot.com/) is irate over the ad. Says Joe:

"You'll note that they decry the "violence" of the anti-Prop 8 protests, but remain as silent as always about the uncountable brutal attacks against LGBT people which are committed EVERY DAY of EVERY YEAR by people trained by THEM to hate gay people from the moment they know what the word means."
