Each unwanted pregnancy is a money-making opportunity for the CPCs. They want that pregnancy to be unwanted but carried to term, so they can act as the adoption agents, which nets them $10K - $100K per healthy white infant. That look of joy at your dismay wasn't at the prospect of forcing you to be a mother, but at the prospect of forcing you to hand over a healthy newborn to them to sell to a wealthy infertile couple. If you (or any woman) said she was keeping her baby, there'd be pressure to adopt it out, and precious little in the way of help until agreement was given to relinquish the infant at birth. These centers are not about helping women or "saving babies" - it's all about money in their pockets.
