71. I agree with you 100%
And if I thought that we actually COULD eliminate organized religion I'd climb on board. I can have my faith without the fellowship. But that would entail things like outlawing assemblies, religious li terature, etc., and I can't go there. But if you gave me a magic wand, I'd have some real thinking to do.

I wonder...if we went back in a time machine and waved the magic wand and eliminated all organized religion, where would we be? Better or worse? What institutions would no longer exist? What gene pools would have survived? One of those things we'll never know, I guess.

I will say that for me, my faith AND my religion have been very positive. But I belong to a very liberal denomination that encourages me to ask questions and answer them myself.
