| 5. Not everyone was taught that was what Christianity is about. |

And it is said that many new religions will try to change the meaning of faith.
And I can find the same meaning all the way back through many different views of the same things.
So I think much of what you hear has nothing to do with the teachings.
I went to a church, the people went to a choir singing that was really good, the drive back, they gossiped about people at the church.
Went to a sermon, after the church, people mingled outside talking about all the new 'things' they had, showing off a new car.
In both cases absolutely nothing in either setting, made it into them, or through them when they left the area, although I don't hold that against them, it is an indicator that people saying they are of some faith, really doesn't mean that much, nor do I think it is even for me to judge such a thing even for myself, after having been helped with much kindness by many people that have a heart that can easily be seen, much reason, and even fascinating shows of what I think of help from inspired power.
So I think the 'beware of long prayers' is a significant verse, and I can only understand that as the idea of thinking and feeling about it yourself, not telling you what must be done, but help when what you work on is of better thought.
Or something like that, I could be wrong.
