80. It's not the Christians putting up Christmas stuff in October
In the actual Christian tradition, Christmas starts at midnight on December 24 and lasts till January 6 (the twelve days of Christmas). Traditional churches (as opposed to those that have unquestioningly absorbed American commercial culture) observe the four weeks before Christmas as Advent, a solemn time of contemplation with its own music and customs.

The businesses that put up Christmas decorations before Halloween are Shoppians.
